Web design grid (768px wide)

My grid.

Web design grid (768px wide): I just got around to posting my web design grid for fixed width designs.

How did I arrive at this magical fixed width of 768px wide? Well, people still use 800×600 resolutions but their browser scrollbar and chrome take some of those pixels.

I used to build sites at 760px but I afforded myself an additional 8px to make some decent geometry available for my three-column designs.

In fact this method gives me 12 columns of 64 pixels to play with. A pretty nice grid which I’ve found to work for all sorts of designs.

Guy -- off to see Quantum of Solace tonight. I hear it's not very good.
