Let me take a ride on your C64

These winter months always leave me feeling nostalgic for my miss-spent youth. How pleased was I to find C64.com? Very. Relive classic 80s computer games such as Hunchback, Outrun, Afterburner, Rick Dangerous, Bruce Lee and Dizzy using a simple C64 emulator. I’m hooked.

Setting the video straight

A highly amusing post on What Do I Know tells the hilarious tale of a video recorder that automatically records gay-themed TV programmes (much to the annoyance of some owners). One owner has started to video lots of war themed programmes to set his video recorder straight! Classic.

NO2 Funny Ad

The funny O2 advert that says “Milton Keynes: Don’t Go there” is to be recalled. There’s been outrage about it by local MK residents who find it offensive. I live in Milton Keynes and don’t mind the advert at all. But then, I don’t want to live in Milton Keynes so I’m slightly biased. The [...]

Milton Keynes: Don’t go there

Great non-stop action, as you would expect and a totally far-out plot that sees the writers going back to the Moonraker days of outer space. The director got to show off some pretty nifty CGI effects too. The invisible car [...]

McDonaldisation slowing

All is not well at McDonald’s - from Media Guardian. Well it had to happen sometime. More power to the consumer. Down with globalisation! Hang on, what day is it? Oh yeah, friday..
So forgetting the eight day fire service strike, let’s all have a game of helicopter.

The Bush Wordifier

Now, you too can have normal words ‘Bushified’ courtesy of this nifty little Flash website. You can also play with a dancing Blair and other great political treats. All in the name of fun! An absolute must! Thanks: Tracy Donnarumma.

British Pathe

Webmonkey is getting ever more obscure in it’s monkey bites. Today’s is a real gem: a link to British Pathe - no less than 3,500 hours of video, 90,000 web pages and 75 years of history to peruse at your leisure.
